One of the perks of apartment complex living is use of the full gym. After sitting in teacher trainings all day, I was really looking forward to getting my body moving. Here’s how the week shaped up:
Monday – 25:00 run (3.00 miles), 5:00 walk
Tuesday – 5:00 walking warm up / Altitude Adjuster (see below)
Wednesday – 5 mile walk with Rob
Thursday – Off
Friday – 10:00 run / ARM-aggedon
Saturday – 10.5 mile hike with Rob
Sunday – 10:00 elliptical / arm and leg lift
9000 in 90 Days Challenge
Arms: 2084
Legs: 1917
Core: 2145
Cardio: 916 (I have to be at 3,000 reps for arms, legs, and core by August 12. I’ve got work to do.)
I have to tell you that altitude adjustment is no joke. Just walking up the one flight of stairs from the parking lot to our front door has left me winded. I wanted to hit the gym hard and strong in order to adjust quicker and it feels like it’s working.
This workout, which I am calling the Altitude Adjuster was a variation on the 20 Day Mini-Vacation workout from December. This version got me moving and working all parts of my body. It was simple, but sweaty.
If you’re in on the 9000 in 90 Days Challenge, this workout will give you: 160 arm reps, 260 leg reps, and 260 core reps. Not bad for a day’s work.
