Is it a bad sign that only after we got home from work and were changing to head to Thanksgiving dinner that Rob looked at me and said, “Oh yea. This is our anniversary.”?

Well. He was right even though neither one of us had remembered. 4 years ago on Thanksgiving during a camping trip with friends, Rob asked me to be his girlfriend while we were sitting around the campfire. I giddily said yes.

From our trip moving from AZ to VN. Camping and driving across the U.S.

Rob cooked a delicious dinner on Friday night while we played music on Grooveshark and danced around the kitchen.

Pork, broccoli, eggplant, peppers, onions

We lingered over dinner, chatted, and just enjoyed hanging out together. The meal was followed by pie we picked up from Annam (Our local sandwich spot). They let you just buy one slice, so we had a sampling of flavors. The winner for me was the pecan. So flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth delicious!

Some people may look with a quizzical eye at staying in on a Friday night to cook dinner, but I was with my best friend, travel companion, sounding board, rock, sanity-in-checker, and love of my life. What more could I ask for?

Ok. Enough mushy stuff. On to workouts.

I know there are no excuses, but it was a crazy busy week. The new job had me working like a dog all day and not sleeping at night from worrying about tomorrow. The Weekly Challenge didn’t get completed, so I will be finishing up the reps that I missed this week.

Also, in tapering preparation for the half marathon this weekend, there is no challenge this week. If you are going to go into withdrawals without one, pick one from the previous weeks. (Check the Weekly Challenge page to pick.) Or, head over to Tribe Sports to handpick your challenge(s) for this week!
