Last Thursday, Rob and I walked to Dairy Queen as a treat and in support of Miracle Treat Day. We ate our blizzards while watching some storm clouds roll in and then had to hightail it home as the lightening started getting closer and the rain picked up.
We literally sprinted the last 400 meters to our apartment and then sat on the porch to watch just as pea-sized hail started. That is a first for us in Colorado. (I was running when I took the below picture, but the lightening still looks pretty cool.)
Workout Recap
Apart from the 400 meter sprint, here is how the week of workouts shaped up:

In other news: Today is officially 2 months until our wedding!!
I have a fabulous team of wedding planners, my mom, sisters, and soon-to-be sister-in-law, ensuring that everything is in order for the big day. Now if I could just find some blue wedding shoes in size 11, I would be just about set.

I live on the eastern plains of CO, and we’ve gotten some crazy weather lately, too. That’s Colorado in August for you! Good luck with wedding planning! I don’t remember what I was doing two months before my wedding… Probably freaking out 🙂
Hahaha. I am surprisingly not freaking out….yet. When does the crazy weather calm down?
Around the end of the month it will settle. And then we’ll have a month or two of glorious fall before it gets cold. 🙂
I am super impressed with your 5K time, you totally rocked it! I am so not a fast runner.
I love the picture of you two!
Two months before my wedding, hmmm….I had my bridal shower and Miss Heather threw a surprise bachelorette party for me! We picked the entree options for the reception, and I was anxiously awaiting RSVPs so I could finish the dreaded seating chart (which was the only wedding related task that really stressed me out, I was actually really mellow with pretty much everything else). I can’t believe that was 3 years ago now! I am excited for you to get married in October, it’s such a beautiful month =)
YAY! 2 months until you get married!!!!
WHOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! 🙂
I wore blue shoes too!
I love the idea of wearing colored shoes on your wedding day instead of the “normal” white/beige classic type of shoe!!
Same! I think they add a little pizzaz to a very traditional day.
