Phew! This week has been hectic. I feel like now that our flight to New York has been officially booked, we have a lot to do. This week has been dedicated to the job hunt, after-school work meetings, and Rob going to the dentist three times (he chipped a tooth). The gym has just taken a back seat.
Workout Recap
Apparently I’m not the only one who hasn’t made it to the gym though.
Monday – Off
Tuesday – 10:00 min hill run, Arms circuit
Wednesday – Off
Thursday – Off
Friday – Off
Saturday – 22:15 speed/hill combo run (4.0 k)
Sunday – Full body circuit
Note to self: Don’t try to run uphill as fast as you can for twenty minutes after taking three days off. Ouch.
After such a crazy week, Rob and I took ourselves on a Saturday lunch date. There may have been a Bellini or two involved. Since I haven’t been drinking, this was a real treat, tasted delicious, and had me feeling fine within a few sips.
Workout Challenge
At least I’m keeping up with the 6-Minute Bikini Body Challenge. It’s been taking place when I can’t look at my computer any more after researching and applying to jobs. It definitely helps clear my head for a few minutes.
If you want to see someone rocking workouts this month, instead of reading my failure to do so, you should check out Stephanie’s blog. She is doing the 6-Minute Challenge, Jillian Michaels’ 30-Day Shred, and going to track workouts. Talk about inspiring and intense!

Hello!
You are still working out and that is awesome!!!
If I am busy I have to remind myself that it is okay not to work out. Sometimes I feel guilty but I get over it. Life is about balance and I don’t want to obsess over working out every day! Since I am training for the half, I obsess a bit more but once it is over it will be nice to just “do what I want” with working out 🙂
You’re totally right. Life is about balance. Why obsess over busy weeks?
That makes me feel better. I have been slacking on my workouts too… sometimes life just gets too busy and the gym/running has to take a back seat. Especially with the weather breaking, the last thing I want to do is go spend more time inside at the gym!
Pesky life, getting in the way. It must be so nice to have spring coming in. It’s just hot hot hot here.
