With summer officially here (school’s out, it counts), I think it’s time to do another month long challenge. I really enjoyed the 6-Minute Bikini Body Challenge in April and thought doing something similar again would be fun.
Since summer brings lots of swimsuit time, an ab challenge seems fitting. Plus, I am going to be on the beach for the entire first week of June and want to do my best to keep some sort of ab definition.
Each day is composed of an off the back move, a plank/back move, a standing core move, and a variation on a regular crunch. Repeat each day’s moves twice for a total of 300 ab reps. Can you feel the burn already?
Here are a few of the moves in more detail: (Let me know if you have questions about any of the others!)
- Over Unders
- V-Ups
- Flat Leg Sit Ups
- Stand X Crunch
- Overhead Bend
- Pelvis Lifts
- Foot Stack Crunches
- Bird Dogs

Whoa looks intense.. this may be just what I need!
It should be fun and not take too much time away from your regular workouts.
I am in awe of you, Brooke. I haven’t seen my abs since before I was pregnant 26 years ago. 😉
Thanks, Maddie. I can’t always see them, but Vietnam has made me skinny.
I have SO missed the bikini body challenge (which I did religiously, btw). Thank you!!!!! I needed this!!!
I don’t have abs. I do have a pooch, whom I’ve affectionately named Winnie. 🙂 Good luck with your challenge! Oh, and Vietnam is not far from where I live (Malaysia). How are you liking it? I’ve been to Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi.
Stopping by from SITS.
Hi Alison. Thanks for stopping by the blog! I live in HCMC. It’s been a really great experience to live here for a year. Where in Malaysia are you? I was in KL and Penang/Georgetown. I loved KL.
Calendar all printed! Ready to start this Saturday!
Woot! Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
I did a Feb. AB challenge and sort of failed…but I did manage to get my plank time to 1 minute!!!!!
A 1 minute plank is still tough for me. 40 seconds is usually my max out for maintaining good form. Hopefully that changes this month.
