While studying my NASM materials the past two days, I have been seriously distracted by something shiny.

It’s just so sparkly!

Ok, onwards with some wedding specifics.

The wedding festivities started last Wednesday after work when I zipped across town to pick up Rob so we could catch our flight to New York.

No rings yet. Yes, my hand is mini next to Rob. In all fairness, he is 6’5”.

When we arrived just after 1 am, we were greeted with dinner and champagne my parents had set out for us. It was exactly what we needed and was a cute way to start off the weekend.

Thursday morning had everyone in my family running various errands. Rob and I had our last pre-cana session, picked up the wedding wine, got our marriage license (woot!), and visited with Rob’s family who had just arrived off their 4 am wake up call from Minnesota.

After dropping Rob at the hotel, where he stayed the next three nights, my mom, sisters, and I headed off for mani/pedis. It was a blast to have some girly time with my family!

We rushed home after our nails dried to change and head to Bertucci’s, an Italian restaurant right next to the hotel where all the out of town guests were staying.

Rob and I treated everyone to some pizza and pasta comfort food after their long days of travel. It was great way for everyone to meet for the first time, casual and relaxed before the more formal events.

Once the feast was over, and the carafes of wine were empty, Rob headed off with his family to the hotel and I headed off with mine. Back at my parents’ house, Margot practiced taking all of our blood pressures. She is a month in to her NYU nursing program and was thrilled to have so many willing victims, I mean patients, to practice on.
