Happy Halloween!
Rob and I are enjoying some SNL Halloween special after watching about 30 minutes of Michael Meyers 5 on TV. I am not a scary movie person. Nightmares tend to haunt me for a week afterwards.
Scariest thing around here lately, mint chip ice cream made with spinach! Creepy how good it is.
Well, it’s been about 3 weeks since a challenge has graced the pages of Wrecking Routine. I am sure you were getting worried.
Here it is, the 30-Day Full Body Challenge to carry me (and you if you choose to accept) through the month of November so we can enter Turkey Day feeling fit and ready for mountains of mashed potatoes.
Instead of doing a general, “Arms” category, I wanted to be more specific on what I was working, so this challenge specifies the muscles to be worked.
This challenge also includes a hefty 100 miles of running, hiking, biking, walking, crawling. It’s been a goal of mine to get 100 miles under my belt in a month and I thought this was the perfect time to work that in. 60-minutes of plyometrics are also thrown in for some extra caloric burn.
To help keep track of all the reps and categories, I created a tracking sheet that you can print off and add to as you go. This tracking sheet is the first 10 days, with the total the goal you need to hit by the end of those 10 days. I will post days 11-20 on November 10.
You can download a more printer friendly version of the tracking sheet here.

I might do parts of it – I don’t do challenges often because I have a bit of an obsessive personality and instead of spreading it out I would feel the need to do an entire category in a day – not usually a good idea.
At least you know that about yourself and what works for you. The challenges tend to keep me more focused in the gym, especially when I don’t have anything major that I am training for.
Hmmm..I SHOULD try this but I don’t know…my schedule is all sorts of crazy! lol
I really want to run 100 miles in a month as well…one of my goals….maybe next year? lol
It’s a good goal when you’re training for your next half marathon. Those long training runs make it easier to add on the miles.
